Project Description
In 2000, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming set a goal to have a new facility built for the area youth by 2005. An award-winning, fun and economical interior theme was adopted, which we dubbed “colorful industrial.” Interior finishes mimic industrial type materials used in an innovative, playful and colorful manner. The interior includes space for arts & crafts, quiet reading, a technology lab, teen lounge and a game room. The new facility also includes a multi-purpose area, gymnasium, administrative offices and a kitchen to provide daily snacks and meals to the youth.
In 2011, the Boys & Girls Club developed the Dick & Lynne Cheney Cowboy Ethics Club to assist in empowering youth and instilling the confidence needed to achieve success in the Casper community. The Cultural Zone area integrates modern day technology with traditional hard copy media to engage in current events and global affairs through internet access and worldwide publications. The Preparation Zone is a quiet and isolated group workspace that will house a large conference table, built-in bookshelf and digital presentation board; providing a training area for collegiate and professional bound members.
