The new Maintenance and Shop building in Sundance, Wyoming is phase 2 of the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s updated campus. The building includes 10 vehicle bays. Three of the 10 bays are used to do mechanical work on large highway maintenance vehicles. This area includes a wash bay, a vehicle lift and a high capacity truck lift. The other seven bays are used to store and maintain WYDOT heavy equipment. This portion of the building was designed to be open with no columns so as to not obstruct the movement of the large machinery. A mezzanine level separates the maintenance and shop portions to provide storage accessible to each side. The building also includes multiple offices, restrooms and a staff break room.
